Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding is a British artist and singer. She was born Elena Jane Goulding on 30 December 1986 in Hereford. Having caught the public's attention in 2010 with her singles "Starry Eyed" and "Guns and Horses" British vocalist Ellie Goulding quickly rose to the top of the charts due to her energetic electronic pop. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding has been at the cutting edge, like Kate Bush and Imogen Sheap of popular contemporary music, and independent, hip-hop that is arty. Her soprano voice and talent for writing emotional songs make her stand out. She ultimately signed a major-label contract to Polydor Records and began making preparations to launch her debut album.
